MacConnachie (D4-137)


Site Details

This 460-acre site is dedicated to the memory of Peter MacConnachie. It is 5 km NW of the hamlet of Morecambe, and it is adjacent to the Morecambe Conservation Site (D4-119). It is accessible via Twp Rd 545, Twp Rd 550 or RR 111. Rolling hills covered in aspen and spruce lead to small wetlands scattered throughout the site. Wildlife in the area includes moose, white-tailed and mule deer, elk, black bear and grouse.

Restrictions

Day use only. No open fires. Foot access only.
